Global Accessibility Standards (iAccess)
Through shared factsheets iAccess is trying to help those who wish to serve the approximately 20% of all travelers who may have physical challenges to understand the conditions where they wish to visit. Any hotelier, restaurant or manager of an attraction can use these simple templates to share the information visitors want in advance by linking their information to their own website or sending it to online sites. This project, in cooperation with Sustainable Travel International, is designed to develop and implement a system of information on accessibility conditions for accommodation, tours and attractions worldwide. It is based on the concept of provision of basic information on conditions and barriers at the site level which can be used by all to interpret whether a place is accessible to them, based on their knowledge of their own capabilities. (ongoing) Download the factsheet templates on this site. (available as downloads)
